Satoshi Tajiri, a Japanese beetle collector, came up with the idea for Pokemon when wondering how to communicate the same emotions he felt while collecting beetles to others. After that, he came up with the idea for a game in which players would collect animal-like objects, grow them, and exchange them with one another. With a group of friends, he founded Game Freak magazine and created the first version of the Pokemon video game. This is, as you may have guessed, a Pokemon quiz.
