As per latest news, Dipa Karmakar has turned out to be the first Indian gymnast to bag gold medal at a global event that took place on Sunday. The 24-year-old Dipa said that now, she would make a huge effort for the top postition at the Asian Games in Jakarta starting August 2018. The well known personality pocketed the women’s vault at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey, after attaining a score of 14.150 points prior to Rifda Irfanaluthfi of Indonesia (13.400 points) and local girl Goksu Uctas Sanli (13.200).
